Overview
The HideAway™ PreAmplifier 9 is a compact, fixed-gain, low-noise preamplifier with high dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio. Many modern sources - sound cards, portable players, satellite receivers - output audio too low for normal amplifier drive; the PreAmp-9 provides a clean fixed-gain block with extremely low noise and distortion.
It accepts line level on a 3.5 mm stereo input and outputs the amplified signal on a 3.5 mm stereo jack, operating on just 7.5 VDC. Standard units ship with 8.1 dB gain; custom configurations are available up to 36 dB. Options include a rotary volume control, multiple preamplifiers on a rack-mount tray, and an in-wall version that fits a single junction box.
