»All power amplifiers are not created equal

Every HideAway™ amplifier is built on Pragmatic's own proprietary digital design: compact mono-blocks, stereo units (two mono-blocks in one enclosure) and multi-channel amplifiers (6 to 12 mono-blocks in one chassis) that rival far larger, heavier and more expensive Class A, AB and Class D designs. Most real listening happens below 50 watts — a properly designed amplifier delivers 106 dB SPL at the listener with power to spare. Audio Precision measurements of the MBA-148 mono-block show frequency response flat from 20 Hz to 50 kHz (just -0.07 dB at 20 kHz) and THD+Noise as low as 0.015%, under 0.03% from 250 mW to 12 watts — clean, dynamic, precise reproduction with an excellent soundstage.
