Overview
The PTS-SMBGM1 is a high-performance, wide-dispersion ceiling tile speaker delivering the best sound-masking and background-music quality of any sound technology on the market. Its masking signal - an ambient sound like airflow, engineered to the frequencies of human speech - is hardly noticeable, yet raising the background level makes conversations harder to overhear: the space gets effectively quieter, focus and productivity rise, and private conversations stay private.
A built-in white/pink noise generator, eight pre-set EQ curves, two audio input channels and dual-channel 78 dB volume control (1 dB steps) handle masking and music together. As a PADS™ device it carries power, audio and control on one Cat5 with loop output for daisy-chaining - up to 8 speakers per cable and up to 128 speakers / 75,000 sq ft from one PH16 hub - with local, central, WiFi and IR control options.
